George A. Wootan, M.D., is a founder and advisor for members of Smart Moms Network. He is a board-certified family practitioner and a graduate of The Oklahoma School of Medicine. Dr. Wootan has worked in the medical field for over 43 years. His specialty, Functional Medicine, aims to restore the cellular physiology of the body through a nutritional approach. Dr. Wootan is the author of Take Care of Your Child's Health, a book that educates parents on how to become more responsible and involved in their children's health care. His practice focuses on pediatrics, family care, and chronic illness. Currently, Dr. Wootan lectures, as he has for years, on topics such as children's health, nutrition, wellness, and Functional Medicine. Dr. Wootan has been married to his wife Patricia for 45 years and they have 11 children, 21 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
